Emergency Food Pack: Shelf-Stable Ready-to-Eat Meals
Emergency food stock for floods, power cuts and your go bag. No fridge needed and no cooking required.
Why emergency food should be ready to eat
During a flood or a power cut, your fridge and stove may not work. A good emergency food pack keeps for a long time at room temperature and can be eaten without cooking. MakanHubb retort pouches keep for 1 to 2 years unopened, and the food is already cooked, so you can eat it straight from the pack.
What is in the pack
Bundles give you several meals in one purchase, and White Rice rounds out the dishes. Keep some in your go bag and the rest on a high shelf at home.
Why it suits emergency stock
No electricity needed
No fridge, no stove. Open the pack and eat.
Long shelf life
Keeps for 1 to 2 years at room temperature while the pouch is unopened.
Fits a go bag
Flat pouches slip in next to water, a torch and important documents.
Easy to rotate
Use older stock in everyday meals and replace it with new packs, so your supply stays in date.
How to organise emergency stock
Count the people in your home, multiply by the number of days and meals per day, then add a few spare packs. Keep the packs in a waterproof container with spoons and wet wipes. Put the container somewhere high and easy to reach. Every few months, check the expiry dates, eat the oldest packs and replace them with new ones.
