About MakanHubb retort food
What is MakanHubb?
A Malaysian food brand offering ready-to-eat pasta, laksa and dishes. We process them with retort technology in our own kitchen in Wangsa Melawati. As a result, they are easy to prepare, safe and long lasting.
What is retort food?
Retort food starts as cooked food. Then it goes into an airtight pouch. After that, a retort machine sterilises it at 121 degrees Celsius under high pressure. Because of this, you can store the food at room temperature without added preservatives. Utusan Malaysia also featured our retort kitchen.
Are all MakanHubb products retort processed?
Yes. Every ready-to-eat product in our online shop is retort processed, so it keeps at room temperature without a fridge.
Are MakanHubb products halal?
We operate under an Internal Halal Control System. Also, all our raw ingredients have MYeHALAL registration. Our JAKIM halal certificate renewal is in its final stage, so we will update this page when JAKIM issues it.
Where can I buy?
In our online shop, on Shopee (makanhubb.hq), or self pickup at our Wangsa Melawati HQ.
Storing retort food
Does it need a fridge?
No, because you can store it at room temperature. However, keep it in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
How long does it last?
1 to 2 years from the manufacturing date. Still, check the expiry date on the pack.
How do I heat it?
Soak the sealed pack in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes. Otherwise, empty it into a bowl and microwave for 20 seconds, or heat it in a pan for 1 minute. You can also eat it straight from the pack.
Is it safe to eat?
Yes, because the retort process sterilises the food at high temperature and pressure. In addition, we quarantine and incubate every batch for 7 days. Then we check it for swelling, leaks and smell before sale.
Orders and payment
Which payment methods do you accept?
The online shop shows available payment methods at checkout, such as online banking (FPX).
Can I change or cancel an order after paying?
We cannot cancel an order when we have already processed or shipped it. However, if we have not processed your order yet, WhatsApp us right away.
Can I order in bulk?
Yes. We welcome agents, dealers, dropshippers and wholesale buyers, so WhatsApp us at 012-540 0263.
Delivery
Do you deliver across Malaysia?
Yes, including Sabah and Sarawak. Delivery takes around 1 to 5 working days in Peninsular Malaysia. However, delivery to Sabah and Sarawak takes 3 to 7 working days.
Can I use Lalamove?
Yes, but you need to book it yourself. The pickup location is MakanHubb HQ, Wangsa Melawati.

Retort service for your own cooking
Can you retort my own food?
Yes. We charge RM17.50 per kg, with a minimum charge of RM70 for up to 4kg. Slots open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm. Also, see our retort service page for the price calculator and suitable foods.
